Plantation Mokaya by Michel Cluizel is an award winning 66% dark bar made from single origin, organic cacao beans grown in Mexico. The flavour notes of cacao and fruit make it an ideal companion for a glass of fruity based wines such as Australia’s Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz.
Amedei’s Toscano Red with it’s strawberry, raspberry and cherry additions is a rich dark chocolate bar that pulls the fruit flavours of a Beaujolais to the front! Each enhances the other for an explosion of flavour and we particularly enjoy pairing this Amedei with Louis Jadot's Beaujolais-Village.
Situated close to wine regions in British Columbia , Wild Sweets has had the opportunity to work with numerous wineries to pair their chocolate with the wines in the area. Their 73% Choco-Wine bar has been developed to specifically pair with red wines. The back of the package explains the use of red fruits and dried grape skins in the chocolate and includes the “how to” for pairing chocolate and wine.
